The Wide Spectrum Ink by Lincoln Ink and Paper, is one more choice that Epson 7000 and 9000 users should consider. These inks were developed by John Nollendorfs using Ilford derivative inks (although not the same ink set as Ilford Archiva, but with 80% of the life). These inks have some of the same color gamut characteristics and longevity as the ColorSpan Endurachrome inks or the the Xtreme Gamut inks (the later of which incidently, were never able to successfully develop a 6-channel version like John has been able to do with his Wide Spectrum inks). Former Xtreme Gamut customers should wisely consider John's ink as a good quality replacement. The Wide Spectrum Inks produce their best longevity with papers i.e. the Oce'140# art paper and the UltraStable Canvas (this ink and the high gelatin content in the coatings of these media seem to be very compatible).
