On occasion you will get papers that have excessive dust or other contaminants. We recommend performing the following procedure before using any pack of paper, but in particular matte and watercolor/art papers.

Remove the paper from the packaging, keeping any protective chip-board with the paper to prevent marking it
Hold one end and shake to get out as much dust as you can, you may want to do this above a garbage can.
Repeat with the other end

If you want to be especially thorough, you can gently wipe the printable surface with a soft, lint-free cloth before printing. If you have dust in the printer and it is keeping paper from loading correctly, you may want to remove it.
