Loading Thick Paper Into The Epson 2200 Printer

Note: Similar information is found on page 17 of the user manual. Unfortunately, this rear-feed option is NOT supportedby the original version of the driver for OSX, the current one on http://support.epson.com/ does.

By default your paper feed lever is set to accept sheet paper via the automatic paper feed.

Reposition the lever as shown, this will release the mechanism which holds paper in position for printing. You will now be able to freely load thick paper stock into the rear of the printer.

With the lever down, load the paper into the manual feed slot as shown.

Open the printer cover and make sure the paper is straight in relation to the rollers. The paper should be in this position, which is about one centimeter beyond the gray rollers.

This is a wide view of the same (oops --we forgot to lower the print receiving tray in front of the printer!).

Once the paper is in position, set the lever to "envelope" as shown; and finally, you must hit the paper feed button so it will re-align the paper (otherwise you will get a different top margin with every manual paper loading).
