On a completely unrelated issue: up to this point, we've dealt pretty-much exclusively with Epson products - so the fact that we are now carrying the Cannon S9000 printer may raise some eyebrows. Our reasoning for adding this printer is simple: it's wicked fast! With a total of 3072 inkjet nozzles (compared to the Epson 1280's 288 nozzles) it cranks out a real, high resolution 8.5x11 in about 2 minutes. Check it out.

  • October 10th: Several of the pages now have a "Buy List" button that enables you to add multiple items to your cart from the same page, all at once! We are selling some of the last few 780 printers, get 'em before they're gone! We now have a few of the Ilford papers. We finally have the inventory system up and running; the first items we used it for were the 880 printers, no more ordering an item and then learning it's out of stock, you will now instantly be informed if what you want isn't available. It will take a little while to get everything into the system, but the most popular items are already there.

  • August 29th We have a page up about the coming Epson C80 printer, it's boo fast!: 20ppm for black text, and it uses pigmented water resistant inks. We changed around the product codes and prices for the Lyson products, most of the Lyson inks had about 30% knocked off the price! Back in May, we discovered that my (Chris) wife was pregnant, last week we found out we're having twins! Apparently twin girls.

  • May 14th We have lowered an added several prices on our Genuine Epson inks. The webmaster took a short vacation to Arches National Park for his first anniversary. Douglas Adams died on Friday, although not *THE* Douglas Adams, don't you know he comes in "6 packs."

  • March 29th We sent out a newsletter some of the major points: New Nikkon scanners, MAJOR price reductions on the price of Epson's 7X00 and 9X00 printers.
  • March 28th I spent over 10 hours straight today switching over our product codes to a new system, among other things you'll notice bar codes on your order confirmation. Those are really for us, but it would have been rather difficult to remove them from the confirmation email as the orders we receive contains the same order table, it looks cool at any rate.
  • March 14th We sent out a newsletter. We now also have the Epson Semigloss in a 4" x 26' Roll and the Fotonic inks for some of the Canon printers. We also have the new Epson 1280 at an unbelievable price of $469.00 (the MSRP is $499!)
  • March 2nd We have a new Newsletter out, some of the main points are: HP lawsuit, new Canon printers, Kodak CD-R, replacement carts for the "chipped" Epson printers. On a side note, today (03-02-01) we received order T12345 over our web site!
  • March 1st The Webmaster (hey, that's me!) is selling the Mac based Car MP3 player he put together, it also does video.
  • February 28th We have quite a few spindles of the Gold Kodak CD-Rs available.
  • February 20th We have a new Newsletter out. Highlights include Royce's report from the PMA show: New 1280 and 5500 printer, hope for the Metamerism problem, new Kodak papers, Piezography for the 7000. A few people had been having problems changing their shipping method because their web browser was reporting a missing file. I guess the web browsers I have access to here are less picky when a Cascading Style Sheet can't be found, so I couldn't reproduce the error, luckily we had some help from a great guy out in Hawaii and it's fixed now.
  • February 8th MAJOR site change! Did you notice the new menu at the top of the screen? After quite a while of researching different interface schemes, this is the one we've decided on. We'll probably be putting it on the home page as well, but the scrolling text window and this are incompatible, so we'll leave it for now.
  • February 6th Did you happen to notice the rotating marquee at the top of this page? The links are 80% of what people called our consultation line about =). The checkout page has changed quite a bit, It will now prevent you from submitting the form without entering required info (less "dang, now I have to re-type all that!"), you can still mess up on your email address (and *MANY* do) but soon I hope to get a fix for that as well. A new Newsletter is out, highlights include the changed Kodak CD-Rs, the new Lyson 100% Rag paper, the new Quickjet Canvas (works with pigments!), and the New Bulldog Ultra top coat spray.
  • January 22nd We sent out a newsletter last week, added Bair Art Editions, added "Did we mention Free Shipping" to the bottom of our pages, added our buying recommendations for the 13" printers and a bunch of minor additions as well.
  • January 8th The 3rd revision of Epson's Premium Glossy Paper has been released. This version is designed to not only combat the orange shift of the original revision, but also the "crystals" of the 2nd version.
  • January 5th 2001 Just sent out a newsletter. We now have a page up detailing removal of the Ejection Rollers ("pizza wheels") from Epson's desktop printers. We have some sample sheets and swatches of the new Epson media. Kodak recordable CDs just keep getting cheaper!
  • December 22nd 2000 What a week! Sent out a new Inkjet News and Tips Newsletter. Several of the pages have been updated, most notably the 2000P order page which now correctly lists a bunch of the products as being in stock. We added Media and Inks for Epson's Professional large format printers. We are running a Inventory Reduction Sale with selected mounts at 50% off and some inkjet products at 30% off.
  • December 4th: A new inkjet news and Tips newsletter has been posted and if you've been noticing our "uptimes," you'll note that the Email computer, and the Router have the same number, that's because we had a circuit breaker trip and shut down the entire office, but the 36 days the Quadra 650 had reached before we lost it had it into the top 500 computers uptimes and the #2 place for a Mac.
  • November 9th: Due to the sheer volume of people calling and writing us asking why we don't have 3rd party and archival inks for the newer Epson printers, I've made a page answering that question, now maybe we can spend more time answering *your* questions! =) I also fixed all those nasty spelling errors in this page.
  • November 2nd: Late yesterday we changed the look of the navigation buttons on all the pages, also we linked up the new tracking feature and changed the confirmation email that you get when you place an order.
  • October 27th: Here's a great bit of Halloween goodness for all you kiddies (OK, it has nothing to do with Halloween, but anyway...): Epson's Premium Glossy paper will arrive in it's re-formulated form in letter size Nov 9th and Nov 15th in the larger sizes. It will most likely take a week or more (most likely the latter) to hit the retail channels. We still don't know if it will have a new stock number.
  • October 23rd: We just sent out another newsletter, dealing with the 13" printer Comparison, Availability of Custom test prints, Discount ink for the 5000, and ICC profiles for the Xtreme Gamut inks and the 1200.
  • October 20th: For all of you astute individuals who actually READ these things, here's a bonus: Our Epson 13" printer comparison is done, so read all about it here!
  • October 6th: We have a new Inkjet News and Tips newsletter out and we received notice from Luminos yesterday that all 7 of the Portfolio series papers are compatible with the 2000P. My house is done and we moved in early this week (I still wonder how many people read these postings!).
  • September 22nd: Even though I've been hard at work building the sprinkling system for my new house, we have some major product additions: We added 7 new Lumijet papers to our site, 4 of which print excellent on the new Epson 2000P (we don't know about longevity yet).
  • September 20th: We have a new article up about metamerism (your prints look different under different types of light) which especially affects pigmented inks like the 2000P's. Read it here. There's even a little audio file that lets you know how to pronounce "metamerism"!.
  • September 18th: Chilean independence Day! We added some info regarding the fade problems with the Premium Glossy paper and how to avoid it.
  • August 16th: We completely reworked the Photo Papers page, now it has different vendor's papers on it organized by surface type (glossy, matte etc...) so you can find papers easier. More to come tomorrow, but right now, I'm going home to spend some time with my Wife. She's been off work for about 30 minutes now and is likely waiting for me. But before I go, I'll note that our first 48 hour sale is going on now with select Lyson E Inks and Papers selling at 20% off.
  • August 14th: We sent out a new newsletter on Friday about Lyson's new Small Gamut ink set. (it will be released for the 4-color printers first with the 6 color inks to *Possibly* follow later).
  • August 2nd: We just received a shipment of 5 Epson 2000P's with 5 more set to arrive possible as early as tomorrow. Get 'em while they're hot! Also, if you want a credit application to set up a billing "net 30" account, just visit our "Print order form" page and grab the file.
  • July 28th:We now have pages up on our Continuous Inking System, we put out a newsletter this morning, A shipment of Epson 2000P printers arrived yesterday, and the Xtreme Gamut Kits for the 9000 started arriving last night as well.
  • July 25th: Wow, it's been a while since this was last updated. Many of the watercolor papers' prices have been changed to reflect price increases from February, but on a better note, the Weber-Valentine Photo Papers and MIS inks have gone down in price significantly. We're now carrying the 2000P printer and its supplies, so go visit the page for a load of info.
  • June 12th: Last week we received the 4 and 6 color Xtreme Gamut inks in bulk so you can now fill your own or use the new continuous ink systems on the market now with the Xtreme Gamut inks. We sent out a new newsletter. We'll be changing the free shipping to $40 orders, rather than $20, on wednesday, June 14th, so order today or tomorrow and take advantage of the offer!
  • May 25th: The Hahnemühle papers are now on-line as are our new, discounted Epson compatible ink cartridges. A new version of the price list was just finalized and you all should be seeing it when your receive shipments from us, you can also see it on the "Print order form" page.
  • May 18th: Many things have changed on the site. A new Inkjet News and Tips is available here. We've added several papers, including the Mitsubishi papers to our site. The price list we include with all order is being updated. The Webmaster (Chris) took a week off for some Honey moon thing because he was married or something (slacker! =). Several of the pages have been updated and prices have been changed.
  • March 21st: Added an archive of our previous "inkjet News & Tips" newsletter, moved older news off this page and a week ago, I added navigation links to the top of the home page, I also improved the search engine and updated it's database. We added Multi-Packs for the coated and uncoated watercolor paper, this should help you-all deciding which paper you want without having to purchase a complete 10 sheet individual sample pack (although the option is still available). Finally, I ate lasagna for lunch, it was good! (I wonder how many people read these posts =)
  • Feb 6th: Epson finally goes archival! Epson introduces 3 new inkjet printers that use their new light fast inks at the PMA Show in Las Vegas. Xtreme Gamut also introduces a new "Cibachrome" look-alike for inkjet printing.
  • Feb 5th: Well, I should have added more info last week, I've been busy adding to the site, jut haven't been updating this page. So here's some news: The Archival ink page is now a very competent explanation of the different ink technologies, please take some time to read it. Lysonic ink for the 3000 and 5000 is 30% off 'till valentines day, we now have some REALLY BIG sheets and rolls for all you large format people out there, Royce went to the recent convention in Las Vegas and got some info on Epson's new Archival printers, inks and papers. I also added a shopping cart icon where needed since people were complaining that there should be a "show cart" button on every page... guess what there is one! and now you can see it better!
  • Jan 18th: We just added more information to the Archival Ink Page, hopefully it will answer many of the questions people have about the different inks.
  • Jan 11th: We just received a huge shipment of Somerset Photo Enhanced and are finishing sending the back-orders. We have a lot left over so you can order it today and have it shipped in less than 48 hours! Wahoo!
  • Jan. 5th: 2000 Well, a new feature has been added, the "out of stock" page is now embedded into the check-out pages, so you will better be able to tell if the product you're ordering is in-stock. Don't you just love SSI?! (server side includes).

  • Dec. 13th: While reading some of the documentation for the i-commerce program I discovered a trick that cuts the average wait between hitting "add to cart" and getting the "item added to cart" page from 23 seconds to between 3 and 5 seconds! Hope this helps you all out! I also added an "in stock" page to be updated daily with product availabilities, so if it's out of stock (like the Somerset Photo Enhanced which always seems to have supply problems) you'll know.
  • Dec. 8th: Well, it's been a while since this page has been updated, mainly because there was no news to post. We've got some now: Lysonic inks for the 1200 and the Fotonic inks (both for the 1200 and the other Epson printers, will be available in January according to our sources. They should be released about the same time. Also, the Somerset Photo Enhanced drought continues, we're out of stock on the 8.5x11 and 11x17 for a day or so.
  • Nov. 23rd:SOMERSET PHOTO ENHANCED NOW IN STOCK! We just received a shipment of Somerset Photo Enhanced, we're all stocked up and ready to go!
  • Nov. 12th: If you are looking for the longest lasting archival paper made so far, try the 120 year Luminos papers. These papers have tested for 120 years so far by Henry Wilhelm and the tests are still going!
  • Nov. 11th:We received a shipment of Somerset Photo Enhanced today, and promptly ran out due to backorders. We are expecting a large shipment around Wednesday next week (around the 17th).
  • Nov. 8th: Update on the Somerset Photo Enhanced: Well, our supplier now tells us that we will be receiving the Somerset Photo Enhanced on Thursday November 11th.
  • Nov. 8th: We've added a new paper - Guardian Watercolor from Weber-Valentine. It's a coated watercolor paper with excellent archivability. Click here for pricing, and more information
  • Nov. 3rd: Update on the Somerset Photo Enhanced: Here's the latest info on the Somerset Photo Enhanced, our supplier will be shipping it to us on to arrive Tuesday November 9th, we will be filling backorders first, so if you placed an order some time ago, you're going to get your paper! We're trying to order sufficient quantities to be able to fill orders placed recently as well.
  • Nov. 2nd: New search function added! There's a new item in the "button" bar at the top left of all pages, Search. You can either search using your web browser, or if you have Mac OS 8.5-9.0, you can use Sherlock for more concise searching.
  • Oct 26nd:We are now carrying the MIS inks. The MIS inks are a pigment/dye hybrid, giving you superb longevity with great color reproduction as well. Inks are available for just about every epson made, including the 900, 1200, and 9000, except the extremely old models. You can go here for more info on MIS inks and Here for prices.
  • Oct 22nd: The Lumijet Silver inks are now available for the Epson Stylus Color 800, 850, and 1520 models (they were actually available 2 weeks ago, but the shipping dept forgot to tell the web master!)
  • Oct 18th: Bad news... The factory in England that manufactures Somerset Photo Enhanced delayed shipping to the USA and Somerset Photo Enhanced will not be available until after November 1st.
  • Oct 13th: We have learned that the Photo 750 can use the cartridges for the earlier 6 color models, so The Photo 750 cartidges are now available in the Lysonic, Lumijet Silver and Lumijet Platinum inks. The Hawk Mountain Premium paper has been discontinued by us. Their Red Tail is a much better paper, and we will continue to carry it. If you must have the "Premium", call us, and we'll get you in touch with Hawk Mountain. There are stil a few 8.5x11 samples of the Premium available on the Samples page, but they won't do you much good without larger packages. It looks like the Fotonic and Lysonic inks for the 1200 will not be available until November. However, we should have the MIS Archival inks for the 1200 available sometime next week..

  • Oct 1st: A new page on how to tweak profiles generated with Wiziwyg or Monaco EZ color has been added to the site.
  • Sept 29th: Here's some updated info on the Fotonic ink: According to our sources, the Fotonic ink will not be available until the 3rd week in October (for all the 4 and 6 ink printers, we're assuming that means for the 1200 as well). At about this same time, Quadtone (black and 3 shades of grey for black & white printing) will be available at about the same time for the Epson 3000. The "quadtone" (hextone?) for the 6-ink printers will be available by the end of November. These quadtones will be available as a "neutral" grey-black inkset and as a "sepia" (brown-black) inkset.
  • Sept 22th: Hey, novel idea! After a lot of user feedback, we added the trash (Trash) Icon to the order form. Just click it and it removes items from your shopping cart! (Dang, why didn't I think of this before!?)
  • Sept 13th: Changed format of Kodak CD-R page.
  • Sept 8th: Lysonic E inks for the Epson 600 and 400 added to the Archival ink page.
  • Sept 1st: Lumijet Silver inks for the Epson Photo, Photo 700 and Photo EX have arrived!
