This information is not up yet on his Web site, but you can find it at ours: http://www.inkjetart.com/news/wilhelm102999.html Some of the information is quite shocking: The report indicates that some of the fine art papers from Lyson (and Luminos) are not lasting as long as they had previously predicted. On the bright side, a couple of unknown or forgotten papers from Luminos have scored 120+ years! (And yes, we do have those "120+years" papers in stock!) Quoting Dr. Wilhelm: "With a given inkset, the difference in light fading rates between the longest-lasting paper and the least stable paper can exceed 20 to 1. That is, the amount of fading that will take place in 20 years with the best papers can occur in only one year -- or even less -- with the worst!" The report also reveals that "...the 6-ink systems provide less image stability -- typically two to three times less -- than do 4-ink printers using the same basic ink formulations." WEBER-VALENTINE INTRODUCES NEW "GUARDIAN" FINE ART PAPER FOR INKJET FREE samples of the new "Guardian" water color paper are available while supplies last. Guardian is a 100% cotton rag fibre paper, with a smooth vellum surface and a natural white color. The weight is 250gsm or 120 lb. (16mil sheet thickness), giving it a substantial feel and "heft", yet allowing for easy feeding and loading in most printers.
