For years, InkjetART has opted not to sell Kodak ink jet papers, which it felt were inferior to other brands that performed better, without the benefit of Kodak's great brand recognition. Besides, most of these papers could be obtained from almost any office supply chain, i.e. Staples.
We have received many requests from our customers to reconsider and carry Kodak's Professional Lustre Paper. We think their request is justified, and we now stock the Kodak Professional Inkjet Lustre (E Surface) Photo Paper (currently, only in the 13" x 19" size).
Featuring a true photographic resin coated base paper with a "pulp of unsurpassed quality". Kodak claims thier Professional Inkjet Photo Paper has the quality to back their name. Kodak Professional Inkjet Photo Paper is universally compatible and will work with both pigmented and dye based inkjet printers:
Our manufacturer of Illuminata Photo Cotton has eliminated the 190gsm weight version (15 mil thick), and has replaced it with a new 250gsm weight that is 16.5 mil thick. This new weight is only 1.5 mil thicker, and seems to still feed as well as the thinner stock. Another difference is that the hew 250gsm version is STIFFER than the old, 190gsm version, giving your prints a greater feeling of "heft" and substance.
InkjetART will soon convert completely over to the 250gsm version, but at the moment we still offer a few sizes in the 190gsm in both the Cool and Warm Tone:
InkjetART adds another fine art paper to its popular Illuminata line. Illuminata Velvet is 100% cotton (acid-free and lignin-free) fine art paper that is similar to Illuminata Photo Cotton, but is coated only on one side, and has slightly more texture.
Illuminata Velvet is a little more rigid paper with an inkjet receptive coating that produces even better colors and details. It is excellent for photographs and detailed fine art reproductions, and it produces superior results with both color and quadtone black pigment inksets. Illuminata Velvet has a 15 mil thickness, a 250gsm weight, and a brightness of 92%.
Illuminata Velvet 250gsm paper is only coated on one side, so it is a little more economical than our dual-side coated, Illuminata Photo Cotton 250gsm.
