Each Test Print was printed using our downloadable test pattern (2.6MB Zip compressed TIFF). Each print was printed using Epson's own media profile that was recommended for that paper and black ink combination. The profiles were applied in photoshop and color controls in the Epson driver were turned off. The working space in Photoshop we use is the Adobe1998 space. Exceptions: The "Watercolor paper Radiant White" media profiles (PK="Photo Black" or MK="Matte Black") were used for the Hahnemuhle Photo Rag and the "Enhanced Matte" profiles used for the Somerset Photo Enhanced Velvet tests. "Monochrome" prints were made using all seven ink colors, but printed from a grayscale version of our test pattern. All papers but the enhanced matte needed an adjustment layer added to get a more neutral image (click this link to download the file). Each print has an input resolution to the printer of 360 ppi. All tests were printed at 1440 x 720 dpi. Each Test Print measures about 3.5" x 5".
