A 10 mil, polyester pongee cloth that produces excellent print resolution and bright vibrant colors, especially when heat-set.
Ink Compatibility - Dye based and pigmented inks.
This cloth is outstanding for a variety of applications, including stage backdrops, textile proofs and prints, flags, and even curtains. It is also an excellent material for indoor and outdoor banners.
Printing: WF PolyCloth can be used with dye-based or pigmented inks on a wide variety of printers. Print dry time is approximately 10 minutes from most printers. Ink saturation will vary from printer to printer, but generally should not exceed 300 percent.
Media Handling: Media should be allowed to acclimate for 48 hours in the printing environment before use. The use of cotton gloves when handling may prevent transfer of oil and dirt to the print surface, which could affect print quality.
Storage/Printing Environment: It is recommended to store and print on this media in a controlled
environment at a temperature between 50 - 85° F and a relative humidity between 30 - 65 percent.
Printer Settings: Printer and RIP software may need to be calibrated for optimum quality. For HP DesignJet printers, choose “Heavy Coated Paper” for the media setting. Most Epson printers will use the "Enhanced Matte" setting.
Lamination: This media is compatible with some spray lamination.
Mounting: Mounting prints with glue is not recommended.
Hemming/Stitching: PolyCloth is perfect for sewing panels together to create backdrops, flags or displays. When grommeting this material, it is recommended that grommets go through at least 2 layers of cloth and be placed every 30 inches. Corners should have grommets going through 4 layers. |
